* Max. 10 2005 Players allowed that do NOT have a current pathway to continue football (High School or University team)
Registration is NOW Open! Any players that have fees outstanding from 2023 will be refused registration.
2024 TRYOUTS
All participants wishing to play for the Scarborough Thunder will undergo a tryout with the team starting with the indoor training/conditioning session on January 27th through to Mid April. Cost of the tryout is $200 (Non-Refundable). Coaches will assess all participants based on work ethic, skill, team work and overall ability. No Participant is guaranteed a spot on the roster. Initial Player cuts will take place the end of February and may continue until 2 weeks before the start of the season. (allows players an opportunity to join another team)
Indoor Training will be held Saturdays at RH King Academy (tentatively) starting Saturday February 3rd.
U10 - 9:00am
U16 - 10:30am
U12 - 12:30pm
U14 - 2:00pm
U18 - 4:00pm
Particpants need Non-Slip gym shoes, Gym attire and water.
2024 Regular Season Practices
We will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Thursday April 18th 2024 at Mary Ward CSS until May 16th
U10, U12 and U14 6:00pm-8:00pm
U16 & U18 8:00pm-10:00pm
Starting the week of May 20th we will practice as follows;
U16 and U18 Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-9:00pm at Agincourt C.I.
U12 and U14 Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm at Winston Churchill C.I.
U10 Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm at Winston Churchill C.I.
** Practice nights may be changed once coaches confirm schedules. Teams may opt for Friday practices throughout the season.
Games will be held on Weekends, home games will be Saturdays at Birchmount Stadium, Starting the 3rd week of May with Championship the 1st weekend in August.
2024 OSFL Costs
The season fee is $800 with the First $200 is NON Refundable and is Due once players has made the team or at registration (if a player is cut the fees, less the $200 Tryout fee, will be refunded) and absolutely no refunds after 1st game. Players who have outstanding fees from 2023 will not be equipped or allowed to practice until fees are paid in Full. NO Exceptions.
To receive the equipment online registration must be completed and season fees MUST be paid in FULL and no outstanding equipment from previous year (Balance of fees can be paid onsite)
***A $100 Deposit must be left (cash, debit card, e-transfer or credit card) that will be reimbursed when equipment is returned.
(those that have an equipment deposit on file from 2023 can be carried over, please confirm with us at handout)
***The Deposit amount may be increased at the discretion of the 2024 Board of Directors
ALL players receiving equipment must bring 2 pcs of ID (Health card, Birth Certificate, Passport, Drivers license) and will have their picture taken for the team binder so wear any thunder attire if possible.
Players will receive Helmet, Shoulder Pads, and Mouthguard. We will have some practice pants and jerseys available at no cost but will be supplying official team practice jerseys. please use pants, including knee pads from last year if possible. belts will be available where needed. Uniforms will be handed out before 1st game of season and will include Jersey, game pants and socks
Players need to supply a 5 pocket girdle and cleats. We will have a vendor onsite for you to purchase these items as well as gloves and other gear during the Team equipment handout day.
