Welcome to the Scarborough Minor Football Association. We have been proudly supporting Minor Football in Scarborough since 1987 and playing competitive football under the THUNDER name since 1990. Our Current programs include playing in the Ontario Varsity Football League which starts indoor conditioning in February with League play running Late May until Late August for Players 13-19, we also run our House League Tackle program for players aged 7-14 starting with Indoor training in late February with games late may through Mid-July and in the Fall we play in the Central Ontario Minor Football League starting Mid-July with Games starting the end of August until the End of October for players aged 7-14. THE 2011 CHAMPIONS ARE; ATOM- GIANTS & PEEWEE- RAIDERS The S.M.F.A. would like to thank everyone for supporting our 1st Annual Valentine`s Dance. The Dance was a great success and would not have been possible without the generous Donations from FLOW 93.5, Mortgage Matchmaker, Uptown Rogers Wireless, Ticket Master (compliments of Juana Dowdall), Williams Brothers Corp. (compliments of Kim Sheppard), Feld Kalia Barristers & Solicitors and Rosemarie Jimenez. The Thunder Family would like to thank all our Members for all the the Love and Support offered to the Martinez and Cameron Families at the Loss of Lorenzo Martinez, 23. Lorenzo was killed on February 11th 2011 in an act of senseless violence. Lorenzo is the son of Thunder Coach Gerry Martinez and played Thunder from 9 years old to 17 years old. Senior Varsity DB, Yann Dika received the CityTV Athlete of the Week Honours and Thunder Alumni Andrew Gillis, UofT QB, and Adrian Charles, University of Regina RB, were recently named CIS players of the Week, Congratulations to all three. Adrian Charles continues to be recognized for his outstanding season with the Rams, being named a CIS Football First Team All-Canadian. more...

IN THE 2011 NFL DRAFT, THUNDER ALUMNI ORLANDO FRANKLIN WAS SELECTED IN THE 2ND ROUND, 46TH OVERALL BY THE DENVER BRONCOS.
